There’s a version of yourself you’re always trying to hold in place, poised, composed, in control. We move in and out of roles, adapting, adjusting, performing, keeping it together. But the body keeps the score, and sometimes, despite our utmost attempts, it slips.

A study in the fear of the slip, losing composure, total collapse, perpetually on the verge of bringing down the house of cards. Movement artist Sonya Homova embodies this idea of unease through writhing, contorting movement.
